Mexico stands out in the video game industry

According to the analysis of the Video Game Industry in Mexico by The Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU), Mexico is one of the 10 most important markets globally with around 65.9 million players aged 6 or over, an increase of 2.8 percent. respect, where Nuevo León is a relevant place.

In terms of revenue, this industry registered a total of 16,928 million pesos in the first quarter of this year, 5.5 percent more than the same period in 2021, 70 percent of which corresponds to software revenue.

“Yes, there is this world that only uses it (the video game) in a playful way and what we want is to give these kids a chance, who perhaps don’t like football or basketball, to grow and develop and even create a community, to grasp certain skills that are going to be essential for them, they are going to be the professionals of tomorrow”, mentioned the director of e-Squad Mexico.

Regarding how they are going to face the competition, he explained that there is only one similar academy in Mexico City, but it operates only online, unlike e-Squad, which does have classrooms, arenas, and stadiums for competitions.
