Logistics: a catapult for SMEs

Faced with the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) have to seek to grow through digitization; however, they also have to learn to partner with logistics companies to reach new horizons.

Logistics specialists highlighted that the first step for SMEs is to access digital platforms, which could drive them to grow by up to 25%. The Director of Institutional Relations of Prodensa, Mónica Lugo, commented that another determining factor for SMEs is in the approach that they have with the large logistics centers in order to be closer to the operators and optimize their operations.

While Miguel Álvarez, Vice President of Industries for Latin America at Blue Yonder, considered that it is essential that SMEs are realistic for this, and seek contracts with which they can comply in terms of time conditions and production capacity.

Now for small and medium-sized companies it will be essential to take advantage of logistics services to grow with the digitization of commerce.
