The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) reported this Thursday that at the end of February, nine of the 21 activities that comprise the manufacturing industry in Mexico had recovered the levels prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is mainly the result of the recovery of sales abroad, revealing the most recent data published by Inegi.
Among these activities, the manufacture of accessories, electrical appliances and electrical power generation equipment stands out, with an increase in its workforce of 8.6% in December 2020 compared to the same period of the previous year; as well as the personnel employed in the group of other manufacturing activities, with an increase of 7.1%, based on figures adjusted for seasonality.
