The manufacturing indicator achieved “a breath” during March, after facing a difficult scenario last February. And the fact is that the IMEF manufacturing indicator for March stood at 50.69 points, increasing by 1.00 units compared to February and being above the expansion threshold of 50 points for the first time in 21 months (May 2019).
Among other numbers within the manufacturing IMEF, it was announced that the trend-cycle indicator stood at 50.04 points, advancing by 0.10 points with respect to the previous month, spinning nine months of advances.
With this data, the indicator went into the expansion zone, after having remained 21 months below the threshold of 50 points. In addition, four of the five components of the IMEF manufacturing indicator showed monthly advances, with three of them located in the expansion zone.
