The logistics sector continues to be an engine of employment

According to data provided by the employment barometer of the Logistics Forum, the logistics sector continues to grow and offers figures that mark a positive trend. The report shows how the employment machinery of the logistics and transport sector begins to overcome the crisis caused by the pandemic and the third wave of Covid-19 in terms of jobs.

According to data from the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, the affiliation to Social Security in the logistics and transport sector reached 926,059 people, representing 5% of total employment in the economy. . With respect to February, the level of affiliation remained stable, with a slight decrease of just 848 people, which places the month-on-month variation rate in a practically stable situation.

Although the crisis is there and it should not be forgotten, Gabino Diego, CEO of Foro de Logística assures that, “employment in logistics and transport is showing signs of greater dynamism than the economy as a whole, recovering the existing employment levels before the confinement ”.
