The arrival of Joe Biden to the presidency of the United States will send Mexico a signal of opportunity for the manufacturing industry, said José Luis de la Cruz Gallegos, director of the Institute for Industrial Development and Economic Growth (IDIC).
He indicated that the project of the president-elect of the North American country for which he plans to allocate 700 billion dollars to revive production in the United States, after the crisis of the covid-19 pandemic, sends a message to Mexico of opportunity, every time to attract investment from those companies that see in the T-MEC.
For this, he affirmed that it is necessary for the Mexican side to comply with the elements of regional content, in the face of a protectionist policy regarding manufacturing and employment in the North American country.
