Employed personnel in the manufacturing sector showed a new annual increase in October, the second in a row after a year of contractions, Inegi reported on Monday.
In October, the personnel employed in the manufacturing industry grew 2.4 percent, driven by the hiring of workers and due to the low annual comparison base, since it was in the fourth month of 2020 when the industries were closed due to the pandemic.
Due to this, the number of hours worked in the sector soared 40 percent compared to October last year, reported the Monthly Survey of the Manufacturing Industry.
