Valero Marketing and Supply de Mexico, a subsidiary of Valero Energy Corporation, started commercial operations from the maritime terminal designed for fuel storage in the new Port of Veracruz, owned by IEnova., Where the Texan firm will be the main user.
“We are very proud to start operations in Veracruz, as we consider it to be Valero’s maritime gateway to the Mexican markets,” Gary Simmons, Valero’s executive vice president and commercial director, said in a statement.
The terminal’s storage capacity exceeds 2 million barrels, which has been fully contracted by the US firm recognized for being an international manufacturer and marketer of transportation fuels and petrochemical products.
At the same time, it marks an important step in the continuous development of Valero and its extensive logistics system throughout Mexico.
